Facility Ministry

The Facility Ministry is a group of volunteer members of the congregation who work with the church staff and contracted trades people to maintain the appearance, cleanliness and functionality of the physical plant.

Facility cleanliness is handled almost exclusively by employed custodian Laura Patino and part-time volunteers.

The ministry performs minor repair and remodeling tasks, upkeep of the grounds, and general monitoring of facility conditions to anticipate problems.  Heavy repair is contracted as needed.  The ministry also relies heavily on the church staff and congregation to report observed problems (burned out lights, safety hazards, roof leaks, etc).  The church office manager functions as the communication relay point for forwarding concerns to team members.  Contact:

Because the team is part-time volunteers, there is always work waiting to be done.  Anyone desiring to volunteer a few hours can contact the office (above) and the team will contact you to discuss available work that fits your skills and hours available.

The Facilities Ministry and church staff are charged with implementing the FCC Facility Use Policy.

a.       The first priority for use of FCC facilities is always worship services and ministries of the congregation.  This use is planned in the operating budget (i.e., no additional fees required), but ministry leaders and coordinators need to coordinate their needs with the office staff, who maintain calendars and resolve conflicting needs.

b.      The facility is available for rental under conditions specified in the Facility Use Policy (Click here for policy.)  Rental rates, deposits, check-in/check-out, and other procedures re specified.  FCC members may rent facilities for private occasions (e.g., family reunions) at a discounted rate.  In all cases, the intended use of the facilities must be consistent with the mission and values of FCC.

c.       Because of severe peanut allergies among our family, FCC imposes a condition that NO PEANUTS or PEANUT PRODUCTS are to be brought into the church facilities.  If this condition is not adhered to, the impact can be life threatening.  If an inadvertent import of peanut products is discovered, please contact the Facility Ministry through the church office for mitigation/cleanup.  There is NO SMOKING in FCC facilities.
